Hi,
I noticed, we can run multiple instances of RightEdge on the same machine. Hence, it seems possible to run multiple strategies on several different brokers at once. Is this supported?
Thanks.

This should work, if you are using different trading systems with each copy of RightEdge. If you need to make any changes to the watchlist or the RightEdge settings, you should do that when only one copy of RightEdge is open, or your changes might be lost.
Thanks,
Daniel

Is it possible to run multiple instances of RE on one box with different TWS settings?
I need to use different FA Account Info for each instance. Specifically it's the FA Profile that I need to be different for each instance to allocate trades to different sub-accounts per RE instance which runs different Trading Systems. Otherwise I need a separate box for each RE instance.

You can specify FA profile information inside of RightEdge. You would want to create two IB service entries in RightEdge. Are you running two instances of TWS?

No I am not running multiple instances of TWS. (that's not possible - one logs out the other)
I have multiple profiles setup in TWS

| I'll be honest, I have not tried that configuration, so I'm not sure. But if you're specifying FA profiles in the IB services settings inside of RightEdge is that not good enough?

Sort of. However if you start two instances of RE with different Service Settings then when you start each one you need to reset the settings because the settings for the last one will be persisted. I recipe for disaster if you forget to reset them and trades for a strategy (instance) end up in the wrong sub-account....

But what if you create two IB services with different service settings? Or do you have to have the same service because they are trading the same symbols?

To clarify;
I want to have two instances of RE (with different strategies and trading params) trading the same set of symbols through the same Broker (IB) on the same box.
If I set up another IB service (called say IB2) then how do I point instance #1 to IB and instance #2 to IB2?

I'm really not sure this is going to work since you want the same symbols pointing at different IB services. You can create the same symbol as many times as you want in different folder, but it's still the same symbol underneath. As a test, you may want to try to setup one folder where the tick and bar data is saved, and another where it isn't, that way you're not going to get duplicate data. However, both systems should still see the ticks coming in.
