Right inn my very first RE system I need a way to store some (private) information with an open position.
Is there already a way to do this?
(I dont want to maintain my own dictionary(positionid, object) to do so)

I think the System.Windows.Forms objects do it the right way. There is always an "object tag" member reserved for user's data.

I'd suggest you add an "object tag" member to class Trade, class Position and so on.

I was imagining that you would use a dictionary if you wanted to do something like this   But adding a Tag sounds like a good idea to, so I have added it to our tracking system as Bug 792.

I have added Tag members to Position, Order, and Symbol.  You will be able to use them in the next refresh.
