We're currently aiming to have a release by september.

The major features are expected:

  • Plugin based bar generation (tick, constant volume, etc supported out of the box)
  • Multi-"Frequency" systems.  Frequency is quoted, as this feature will allow not only multiple frequencys but multiple bar types in the same system.
  • Tick Charts
  • Steam in/out of large datasets.
  • Optimization Plugins.

Schedule and feature sets can and often do change, though, so consider these as plans and not promises at this point.

What happened to multiple time frames in a single simulation? And multiple live systems running simultaneously?

Multiple time frames in a single simulation is definitely in, and closely related to the plugin based bar generators.  Multiple live systems simultaneously is certainly something we want to support, but it was never really planned for the next edition.

Feel free to check out the Multiple Systems thread for a sample of how you can manage multiple seperate strategies yourself.  Also feel free to give us feedback on that thread on how you would like the feature to work once we eventually do add it.

Thanks,
Daniel

That sounds pretty good.  I'm pretty excited about multiple time frames.  Will early builds possibly be available for testing before September?

So much had to change under the hood to make this happen that we're probably going to have to be pretty close to done before distributing for consumption.  I'm sure we'll have a "not for the faint of heart" build before September.

Hello,

i'm planning to try a tripple screen trading system. So it needs the multiple frequency support which is planned for edition 2 as i've seen here.
Will it still probably be released in september or is there rather any delay to expect.
Depending on your answer i would consider to wait until you release it.

We're about a month behind at this point, so we plan on having a beta in September.

Hello,

Could you please give an update on the release schedule? Is it likely for the new edition to be released this month?
I particularly would need the new tick data capabilities in your product to give it a try.

Any feedback on the expected release date?
It would be helpful to plan ahead.
